How easy to spot boy 'bits?'

Hi well I had a scan today at 17 weeks because of a bleed Ive had again, all was perfectly fine but we got to have a really good look at baby with cross sections being done all over the body. They were even around the thigh area, now my partner and I didnt spot anything that looked like boy bits but then i guess it would be hard to tell? orrr would it be plainly obvious? we didnt get potty shot but they were around that area for a little while and scanned the thigh through to the other thigh from the side, rather than the way you would scan for potty shot soo Do you think we would have seen boy bits? Just dream about having a girl!!

Depends on the angle , usually to be sure they like to have a shot righ up between the legs not from the side as they can look past it so to speak

Even at my 30 week 3d ultrasound if they went a bit to far one direction you just saw thigh not his bits

with my son amd this one the boy bits were SO obvious...even to my hubby he had no idea what to look for. but that not to say everyone would be like that. best bey is when they measure the thigh bone...u shud see any bits.

i had a private scan at 16 week 2 day and she looked said oh yes somthing like that then poked so he opening his legs and sure enough couldent miss it depends on angle like dream.dream said xx

thanks well partner knew all that they were showing at different parts where i was like Ey?? the seemed suprised at how mush he seemed to see, anyway they only did verrry fleeting potty shot upwards quickly and he couldnt see anything but then showed the other way through side of thigh to other thigh and didnt see but then sounds like might not spot it that way...

did you not ask him if he could tell you the sex xx

We had our 20 week scan yesterday and there was no question about it...it's a boy! Probably depends on the angle for sure...but whatever angle it was she took it at...definitely a boy!!!

I asked but said its difficult to tell without a proper scan to determin sex where they concentrate on that area, dont think they would be able to say anyway as at that hospital they dont tell the sex unless u pay for gender scan at 24 weeks! and this scan was purely a check alls ok scan after my small bleed x

aww hun i found out at 16 weeks in 2d and 3d for 50 pound could be good looking into it xx

oh really? well maybe we might be more likely to be having a girl then with not a sniff of a boy bit in sight!

thanks we actually are now a week on sat, I simply cannot wait to find out even a week and a bit is toooooo long lol x
