How long a wait?

I know how long a lot of us have got left to wait (thanks to the joy that is the ticker ) but I know I for instance didn't make mine until recently and I've already waited about three years. Which would make my total official wait 4 years 2 months, and that doesn't count the years I was broody before I dared call it 'a plan' because it would have freaked OH out!

Anyone else care to share their total wait?

I have always wanted kids! But I guess we have only seriously thought about it for about a year and a half. Hoping to start next month

Haha. As long as I can remember? The first "elective" I picked in highschool was family planning. I think i was the only non-pregnant girl in the class, and boy was I jealous! Of course, reflecting back on that 14 years later, I'm glad I waited, but I'm about ready for some baby making now. Only 9-12 more months to go....!

I've really wanted to be a mum since around March 2007 (when I first met my best friend's LO)... I didn't meet my DH until November 2008, and we weren't sleeping together till we married in August 2010... but I guess for me, my total wait time is since March 2007... so 4 years, 6 months and counting... eep!

I guess I've only thought about it seriously since we got married, because we wanted that to be the order we do it in, anyway. So, it will be 2 years and 3 months when we start TTC.

I've wanted to have kids in an 'of course one day I'll have children' way pretty much all my adult life, but it got more intense when I met my husband 8 years ago. And then even more intense, to the extent of being properly broody, when we got married nearly 14 months ago. So I've been properly waiting for 14 months really.

We have minimum 6 or 7 months, maximum 11 or so months (omg, less than a year! ) before we start TTC. Hubby would be good to go now but I want to save some more money and let things settle down at work before we start.

not until last year, december 10 so will only have been a ten monthish wait x only got the go ahead from oh about three months ago tho which is when we chose a date x

We were TTC until May 2011, so in total I will have to wait 1 year and a month DH has finally decided that June 2012 is "right".

I MCd in early Dec 3 years ago. We're TTC this Christmas season so... 3 years in the making.

For Jaxson we waited just over 3 years (I was ready wayy wayy before then but was also very very young)... For this one we will have waited since Jax was born so about 17 months... I was ready before leaving the hospital for another.. haha

Gosh, I've been waiting properly since December 2007! That's crazy. In that respect, 8 months doesn't feel like long at all... kind of. Actually, it still feels like too long a wait!

Wow thanks ladies for sharing! I think we've all done really well, to be honest! I like how it puts the remainder of the wait into perspective when you look at how long you've *really* been waiting. I hoped it might make me feel a bit better

My best friends were like us, waiting waiting waiting til it was right (although not quite as long as we've been waiting) and they've just got pregnant, so that makes me feel better - to me it doesn't seem five minutes since they started trying, although it's almost a year, and that makes me hope that my just-over-a-year wait will fly by. Who am I kidding...
