Ok just wondering what other mummies do. Im very sentimental and have a wall in our toy room for all the kids art work. But Sadie and Dylan seem to be bringing home some work, art, models all the time. I hate clutter, and Iv already put loads of their first art work up the attic, but it is getting ridiculous. Iv thrown a few peices in the bin, .

Yes some goes in the bin here too. I try and keep as much as I can but let's face it, they're not all masterpieces ;) I've got some that is years old though. Like their first paintings etc

I keep a few pieces for a few month, but everything else gets photographed and binned. Every so often I find a way to display all the photographs, such as a photo book or a collage.

Lol No they are not all masterpieces but its interesting to see what other mums do. Do you feel guilty putting things in the bin, I do. I try and do it when DD is in school or not looking.

Thats a good idea, I never thought of taking pictures of their work. Thats a fab idea, you could put together a photo book and show the kids when they are older xxx

give it to the grandparents

Seriously though, I keep some (the 'firsts' and the ones that I actually quite like in an abstract way!)
I store some in a folder, the rest is thrown away! (I take pictures of some of them before they are thrown)

I have a big art folder that was mine when I did art at school and I keep everything in there, so far anyway!

I take photos & bin, I have all his NY city models as it was his 1st, I kept few of his arts works in folders away & some of his drawings. He does the binning & hanging now loool.

He doesn't do any arts classes anymore, all his arts work are at home, I'm leaving some space for pre-school projects when he goes in Sept. xx

I am such a hoarder when it comes to Ivy's art  it's ridiculous because most of it is just a few blobs of paint on a page but I keep all of it in a huge plastic box, I seriously need someone to come in and throw most of it away!

What do you mums do with things they make at home with you? Sadie had make your own snow globes, mosaics, and lots of rainy day activities (I admit I throw these out too, it gets a bit awkward through when a month later DD asks where her pot/painted canvas/ sock puppet is gone!)

Keep the special pieces, scrapbook for some, take photos of the rest. Otherwise I think it would all become a bit overwhelming!!

we get piles about 2 inches thick every few weeks from nursery so they get photographed.

nursery also compile a4 books that they stick lots of the art work in and they get sent home when full

I've kept some of them in a folder with each of his day reports from nursery. Some go to his grandparents as well and others are binned - the more glitter = more chance they are binned!

It's nice to keep a few though as memories for us and for him when he is older. x

So glad I read this, I'm def going to do this. Thank you! (She's only 14 months so I have no masterpieces yet!)
