Hi everyone
Docs have finally got back to me, I can start taking provera.
As long as pregnancy test is negative...
Can't see it positive haven't had a period since nov.

The doc said I had to take 3 tablet each day for 10 days..
Does that sound to long???

I think it might be because of how long ago it was and clearing it out. Tmi

But finally treatment can start soooiooo excited..

Any replies would be great as I'm not sure if it sounds right.

I took it for 10 days each time I've used it. I think the point is to built up the progesterone and then have it drop right off after you stop the pills which will give you AF. If you don't built it up long enough then it may not work. I usually got AF about 4 or 5 days after my last pill.
Also, you could be pregnant even if you haven't gotten AF in a while. Both my first babies were conceived on freakishly long cycles :)

Thanks for your reply-
Makes me feel abit better now. Sounded so long...
Hopefully af will come soon afterward.

I took a pregnancy test as was negative- retesting in morning, if neg again starting tablets in morning.
To kick start treatment..

Good luck

I was prescribed 5 days worth when I was on Provera, not sure why!

I read the leaflet and says between 5-10 days.
I think mine is for 10 days as period was last in nov- the joys of pcos :(

hope it works for you! My last AF was September, which was the first proper AF since having my son in December 2012.
Long cycles and anovulation are crap!
FXd for us all!
