Hey girls.. I did misoprostol on 5/29 and passed 1 sac that night. I passed the 2nd sac on Monday 6/3 and I have had not too much bleeding. Well I had a bunch of dark dark brown spotting and some clots, then light brown, then reddish. Well, I have had a consistent low grade fever but NO foul smell, NO pain, nothing else besides the low fever. I went yesterday to urgent care and my hcg levels are dropping (down to 234 from monday at 855) but they did a formal ultrasound to be safe and they said no remaining products of conception but that my uterine lining is just a little thick still but that is expected after a MC and put me on antibiotics just in case. Well, now I am bleeding again and just achy down there. Wednesday it will be 2 weeks! Is this normal? How long did you bleed for? Does the uterine lining shed with the first period? Or will I just spot spot bleed a little until it sheds? I am going to hawaii on Monday and I just want to feel normal again.:wacko:

I am 12 days along and still bleeding. I was told to expect two weeks and that it can be longer for some women. they said there is no need to worry, unless I see clots. I have a gp appointment on Wednesday which will be 16 days so I will ask again then.

Sorry for your loss.

Thank you for your response. Dr called today and said my endometrium is just a little thick still on the ultrasound and it could be retained products OR it could just be thick from the pregnancy. She does not want to do a D&C unless my levels start going back up and so far they have dropped so much in 4 days so she is happy. I just hate this stupid waiting game. So freaking annoying. Next time, (if there ever is a next time) I will just go straight for D&C. I try to do things the more natural less invasive way and then just have to play the waiting game. So annoying. Sorry, just venting.

I bled on and off for 6 weeks after my loss in November. My other two losses I bled for 10 days. It all depends. Each loss is different.

You can pass more lining with the following periods. My first several periods after my loss in November were extremely heavy (almost m/c heavy). After my first loss my periods were very light. I never got a normal period before conceiving my son and I'm still waiting for first AF after my latest loss.

That is what I am thinking... I have seen some women say it only lasted a week and others say like 6-8 weeks... I hope I am stopping now though! I have had no bleeding.. only light pink spotting today! Leaving for hawaii tomorrow so praying it is almost done!

As far as the lining goes... I think that my next period will be pretty heavy since the lining is still on the thicker side. Oh well, I am just going to stop worrying. I get my hcg levels tested when I get back so hopefully they are down to 0 and I am on antibiotics in case anything is retained there. I just wish this MC business was easier physically. Emotionally it is hard enough.

mine goes lighter in the day but really heavy at night.
hope you stop bleeding soon ((HUGS))

thanks ladies. I am sorry all of us had to go through this. I really wish this never could happen to any of us.

For my first I bled a little heavier and longer than a period but for my second I bled like a VERY heavy, crampy period and stopped but started bleeding/not bleeding again for a few more weeks.

Sorry for your loss. :(
