My LO is almost one and has always been a great eater. He currently has a bottle of SMA 8 fl oz when he wakes and at bedtime. He just doesn't seem that fussed on them and never finishes them. Will be changing him over to cows milk when current tin of formula finishes, but how many bottles should he be having is it ok to drop the breakfast one?

current guidelines are for around 500mls of milk for a 1 year old according to DD's dietcian. However this includes milk in cereal, or yoghurts, or even cheese. so you could probably drop the morning bottle if you were replacing it with cereal and milk with a yoghurt and some cheese throughout the day and maybe milk in a cup as a drink with lunch plus the bedtime bottle. Its more about ensuring they get enough calcium rather than calories from the milk after they reach a year as most of the nutrition and calories should be coming from food.

Guidelines are to stop bottles at 1 and swap to a cup. After one they only need 12oz of dairy a day including cheese and yogurts.

Might be different in different areas. (Isnt it always lol) We had that conversation with DD's dietician this week just which is why I mentioned it. Maybe worth talking to your HV to see what they recommend in your area
