How many days after your missed period did you get a positive test?

Hello,
I am new here. I am currently 10 days late. I am never late but I tested 4 days late and I believe at 7 days late but it was negative. Has anyone else gotten negative results than ended up positive later on? Im sorry if this was already posted somewhere.

Unfortunately, if you are late and peeing negative then chances are you ovulated late and aren't actually late for your period. If that makes sense. It is worth ringing your doctor though because you may want to look into what delayed/is delaying your ovulation and, as a result, your period.

For me, I have always gotten my positives three to five days before my missed period.

The only time I was more than a few days late I had a big ovarian cyst that was delaying ovulation so I had three cycles that were 40+ days long.

Since you don't know when you ovulated, pregnancy is always a possibility. My gyn says a negative 3 weeks past sex is usually reliable especially with an early detection test
