How much does an initial consult appointment cost?

Hi everyone,

My husband and I live outside the US and have started meeting with a fertility specialist in our city, but I would like to get a second opinion when I travel to the US next month. How much should I expect to pay for an initial consult appointment? I have all the tests done (AMH, FSH, estradiol, progesterone, ultrasounds, hysterosalpingography - the whole 9 yards!) but I just want a second opinion on what our best course of action would be.

Probably $300-$500 usd. You can call and get the appt and the financial person should be able to give you the exact amount.

I was really fortunate that my RE provided a free consultation. I had all of the testing done before researching Drs in my area. I just sent over all of my information and filled out a 14 page questionnaire. He spent a little over an hour going over the paperwork and giving us our options between IUI and IVF. We chose IUI, at least for 3 cycles. After that we may move on to IVF.

This fertility clinic will do a free initial consultation. They are also the most affordable clinic with great quality care as well. My brother had a daughter using them. You should call and talk to a person in the financial department there on Monday. In the meantime here is a website with their costs. Hi! I've dropped in to share a couple of things. I'm 40 yo, dx - endo and pcos. We've had 3 ivf cycles before achieved success with our last clinic in Ukraine. We found them on eviternity.org International patient coordinator. They offered free consultations in London so we thought it would be great to start with. Besides we'd paid out of the pocket and wanted to save. Josephine answered all our questions. Furthermore she gave us some more useful tips. (We were taking egg donation route as our verdict of conceiving with OE was less than 5%). She also shares her own family story on the site. Judging from it she isn't new to infertility world herself.
So our first app. was for free. Then we signed the contract with the clinic and went on with the treatment itself.
