DS is 10 months tomorrow and am curious what other babies around his age eat in one sitting.
I never feed him "until he's full" because he'll eat anything and everything I put in front of him at anytime. So have been going by guidelines I've found online.

He has three 8oz bottles of formula/day.
Breakfast is usually 5 tbsp of cereal and 3 tbsp of fruit
Lunch he has 4 tbsp of meat, 3 tbsp of veg, and 3 tbsp of fruit (sometimes yogurt or cottage cheese instead)
Dinner he has 4-5 tbsp of meat/protein, 3 tbsp of veg, and 3 tbsp of fruit.

He also has two snacks throughout the day.

Is this comparable to what your LO eats? Sometimes, it seems like so much for such a small little guy

....anyone?
It's really frustrating when you come here for support from other mothers and nobody ever answers you.

My LO is 8 months, but didn't want to read and run!

She has half weetabix with half fruit pot and milk for brekkie (or equivalent bowl of porridge).

Lunch is normally toast/bread - she has 2 pieces but by the time I slice crusts off etc, it's prob equivalent to one. I also give either a bit of fruit, rice cakes (2/3 of the Organix ones), or a Heinz biscotti.

Dinner is a purée - veg and meat or pasta - one large ice cube sized portion, plus either half a fruit pot or half a rice pudding type thing.

She generally doesn't snack but will occasionally have a little of what I'm having or some Organix puff things (normally about 4/5 sweet corn rings or carrot sticks).

Not sure if that's any help!

Also, we started weaning at 6 months.

It is annoying that no one seems to visit here but then you could try reposting in baby club? I can't help as my lo is only 7 months.

My little one 8 months and is predominantly baby led weaning. But he eats toast (about half a slice goes down the other half on the floor) and yoghurt for breakfast
Soup (about 3oz) crumpet (half) and fruits
Pasta (about 10-15 twirls) cucumbers and carrots etc
Then rice pudding or custard or something, normally yogurt pot sized.
Plus he has 3 x 8oz bottles and breadsticks for snacks!!

Wow! What a gusto!

I think they are all different and will eat it if they want it or throw it or spit it if they don't. Be led by baby, they won't overeat as baby's (they save that for pre school age)

Good luck though :).

I don't measure strictly but I guess normal for my nine-month-old is:

Breakfast: 4-8tsp of porridge, yoghurt and fruit / or one scrambled egg and small piece of toast with Vegemite

Lunch: 4-8 tsp of veg and meat plus 2-3 tsp fruit puree or pieces of fruit / or 1 slice of toast w hummus or baked beans plus fruit

Dinner: 4-tsp of pasta / risotto / similar w veg and meat plus 2-3 tsp fruit and yoghurt

Sometimes he will have a rusk or dried apple ring or something in the afternoon, but he's not much of a snacker. He BFs 5-8 times a day (in a 24-hour period).

Hi Laeyla,

I don't have any useful information as my LO is only 6mo but I just wanted to give you a :hugs:. Unfortunately the Weaning and Nutrition section isn't as active as some of the other parts of bnb. You will find a lot of the threads in here are originally posted in baby club then moved over here by admin, I've noticed it happen to a thread of mine before. Next time you could always try baby club for more responses x

:hugs:

ETA - I'm sure if your LO is within the healthy weight range his diet is fine! It doesn't sound like too much to me x

Robyn is nearly 8 months. Yesterday she had:
Breakfast- 3/4 of a slice of toast (I offered the whole one and she left a bit)
Lunch- sandwich made with one slice of bread, banana
Dinner- 3 large sweet potato wedges, around 2 tablespoons of veg, tiny piece of meat to taste, 2 tablespoons of yoghurt for pudding
She breastfeeds on demand, she had 7 feeds yesterday (2 before breakfast as we had breakfast later than normal, one mid morning, 3 in the afternoon due to heat, one before bed)
