How much expressed milk should she be having?

I have tried to give my little one expressed milk at least once a week from week 2. She will now take a bottle on a night with expressed milk but just not sure how much I should be giving her. She is 22 weeks and tonight OH gave her a bottle but she cried when he put her down. Then after 10 mins of her being distressed I latched her on and she was totally going for it. She must have still been hungry. In the bottle there was 4 and a half fluid ounzes but what should she be having?

There's no real way to know, babies take different amounts at each feed. But - their is a calculation you can do to get a rough guide on kellymom. Will try and find the link x

Oh.... Also - she might just have needed comforting. Babies will sometimes feed if they just want mummy cuddles, maybe she's got teething pains, feels a bit under the weather, overtired etc

Well my 3 week old can polish of 3-4 ounces from a bottle... but all babies are different

My baby takes 5oz at just 7 weeks, my friend whose son is 19 weeks can drink 10oz!!!!!!!! No idea if this is too much for their ages but they're both happy babies.....x

charlie is 21 weeks and i express in day bf at night, he will drink 7 ounces 4 hrly.

Aria is 4 weeks on Wed and I express 1 bottle per day for her and she can take 5/6 oz in one go and then still be hungry! She is not putting on too much weight and seems happy so think it just depends on the baby.
