How much milk at 7lb or 8lb???

How much milk does your 7 or 8lb baby take and how often?

Is 18oz a day about right??

HV was just out she didnt say that wasnt enough but Anna hasn't put on as much weight this week.

She is sick nearly every feed, sometimes is loads but if its not loads then its at least a mouthful each burp.
Iv been writing it all down there isnt really a pattern. The projectile hasnt stopped since I stopped giving dentinox.
She settles less, sleeps lighter and is always sick once I think she is settled in bed!

Im waiting on the doctor ringing back to get an appointment the receptionist said nothing to the 20th I said thats not good enough get him to call me back!

I have no idea re answering your question but just wanted to say congratulations on the birth of your baby. What a beautiful little miracle!! I'd say if she has already doubled her birthweight, she's doing great (depite the sickies!) but if you're concerned then push to see your doctor as you're doing.

Iv just found a calculator thingy its says they should have 2.5 - 2.7oz per lb.
So at 7lb 14oz she was last week, she should have been having between 17.8 and 19.2oz she was having 18.

So now she is 8lb she should have between 20 and 22oz a day. Im pretty sure it works for prems too becase its just by weight...

im pretty sure my Lo was taking 2 maybe 3 oz every 3hrs so probs taking the same as your baby xxx btw your baby is doing really well gaining weight, your doing a wonderful job x

Fraid not chick - prems can be fussy and take less than recommended. You cant really force them, as long as they are putting on weight steadily then dont panic.

remember her weight is going to slow down at some point though honey - its just going to be sooner than you expected.

Annas gonna do what she wants and its hard to enforce anything when shes not happy about it. If you are worried you could speak to the doctor and see what they suggest?

Hi hun my lo has never taken more then 4oz at any time she currently taking between 18-20 oz at 5 moths corrected with two tiny meals a day and gaining weight steadily try not to worry your lo wil take whats she needs.xx
