Hi, hoping someone can help me. I'm off for a girly day out to the races on Saturday and i'm not sure how much ebm Chase will need. He feeds about ever 2-3 hours and i'll be gone about 6 hours i reckon so i'm thinking he may have 3 feeds. I started started freezing this week and will have by Sat 23oz if i carry on at the rate i'm going. Does anyone think this will be enough as if not i'll express more and do after every feed. He weighs 12lb if that helps? Its so hard not knowing what he takes each feed. Thanks xx

Heya hun,
Im not entirely sure myself but i posted a similar question when tommy was 4 months and was given this link by a lady on the forum -
https://www.kellymom.com/bf/pumping/milkcalc.html#calculator
I found it quite helpful :) its a milk calculator xxx

Thanks for that hun, going from that i should have enough x

isabella is 3 months and 14 pounds, she takes 6-7 oz at one feed and can go up to two hours

I think you have plenty. My LO is over 5 months and weighs around 16 lbs and takes 5oz every 3 hours while I'm at work. All babies are different, but I think 23oz for 6 hours should be more than enough - the max I've ever heard of a baby taking is 48oz in 24 hours. Be sure whoever is watching him only heats up a few ozs at a time so not much goes to waste.

My LO has only ever taken 4-5 ounces in a feed, I reckon you should have plenty.

i wouldnt expect him to take more than 6-7oz at a feed hun and if he did drink that much but normally drinks less then he will likely last longer,
