Recently I have been feeling him alot at night, when I go to bed and lay on my side he moves around alot.

I dont really feel much during the day, the occassional thud that sometimes makes me jump! But i'm always reading how everyone CONSTANTLY feel their little ones moving around and I just don't...?

Every baby is different and as long as you don't start to feel less than what is normal for you then all is probably fine!!!

A lot of babies are quieter in the day as you either don't notice the movements as you're busy or baby is just sleeping!!

Dont worry am the same only at nite and thats how its been since 27weeks am now 35weeks x

Thanks, its very unsettling when i hear people saying how much they feel moving around. Perhaps I should be grateful he is a relaxed little one!

Hmmm I thought that I only felt my LO move about 20 times a day, but yesterday I did a kick / movement counter for the first time and I actually felt her 102 times which I didn't think was possible!!! lol
It's amazing what you don't notice when busy :)

Maybe I will try this and see if its more than i think!

Ikwym when you think theyre not moving about as much - Ive been in for monitoring before when Ive been worried, but its weird as sometimes I cannot "feel" her but just stick my feel up and watch my belly and can see her moving about.

Does help to have my feel raised or lying on the bed (not always poss if your at work!) but I dont feel my LO half as much through the day, she is a lot more active late afternoon and in the evening times/through the night.

xx

I have been like you don't worry!! Tbh I think people exaggerate a bit if you listened to some people then their babies would never actually sleep lol. Remember babies sleep a lot and as long as you are still feeling movements then don't worry Carly! Also movements change as baby bigger so maybe he has less room because at the mo I feel rolls ect rather than kicks. What I find reassures me if I can get him to move ie like playing music or having a ice cold drink then I figure if he responds to that then he is fine. My placenta is at the front so mw said that would stop me feeling him!! Do you know where yours is? Xx

Depends on the day, the weather and what I'm doing for me and baby. If we've had a couple of days of lots of movement, there is usually a couple of days of less movement. Same as if I'm tired, quite often baby is a bit tireder. And the hot weather recently means that baby has switched to being awake in the evening and mornings rather than in the hot part of the day.

I'm not really sure... when I went for my scan i think she said that baby was right up against the placenta (i.e. underneath it) so i think it is probably not on the front?

Maybe your placenta is blocking baby a bit!! Don't worry and don't listen to people x

My LO is the same - I feel him first thing in the morning, rolls a bit...then just the odd 'turn' or 'jab' through the day, often nothing for hours....then when I go to bed he rolls and jabs for what seems like forever - but is probably about 5-10 minutes.

I also seem to ave days when he is queit - usually after a few days when he has been extremely active...but this week he does seem to be slowing down a bit. Getting too big in there I think - 29 weeks soon....eekk!!!!

:)
