how much overdue were you when labour began?

42 weeks. the day before my induction. thought he would never come!

everyone told me i would go into labour the day before induction. i think you sort of relax a bit on the lead up to induction and you end up getting going by yourself!

I went into labour 11 days after my due date. 2 sweeps were unsuccessful.

well.... i went into labour at 41 weeks exactly and had him a couple of hours later! i too thought he was never coming but my god when he decided to come, he wasnt waiting for anything! id had an attempted sweep the day before and the midwife said she couldnt even reach my cervix and i was nowhere near ready for labour.....so just shows it can happen at anytime!

I had my baby girl at 5.29pm on her due date. She was my fourth baby and the only one who came on time. My first DS was 3 days overdue, my other DD was 5 weeks early, and my second DS was 2 weeks overdue. Was expecting this LO to be overdue aswell so she surprised us all by coming on time. Hiya i was 41+5 ( 12 days over ) then my waters broke and he had poo'd in them and my contrations started but they needed him out as he pooped so i was given the drip to bring it on really quick 12 hours later ryan was here xx

Started with contractions at 40+7, waters broke at 6:30am 40+10, she was born within 3 hours

Went into labour 40+3, contractions started at 1.30am LO arrived at 9.56pm same day. I had no signs beforehand (no "clear out" - sorry if TMI, nesting instinct nothing), I just woke up having contractions.

It will happen, just relax. Oh and wash your hair! The day before I went into labour I couldn't be bothered washing my hair and then didn't get a chance for about 3 days

My waters broke at 40+13. Nothing happened naturally so I was induced. Had LO by emergency c-section late 40+14.

i gave went into labour and gave birth on 40+6. i fully credit that to getting a sweep on 40+4. i would have had to be induced otherwise imo.

40+5 for me but I'm sure if we hadn't dtd it would of been longer!! Dtd at 11pm waters broke at 1am xx

No signs at all for me. Normal day. Washed the car not even a twinge. Mucus plug jst popped out, then an hour later waters broke then I went into labour xx

I had just been feeling fed up as I was so overdue and crampy but put it down to the fact I'd just had my 3rd sweep. I woke up at 3am (11 days over) and felt like I had a bit of a sore tummy, coldn't get comfy iykwim. Thought I might need a wee, it didn't occur to me I might be in labour even when I sat on the loo and my waters broke, took me a second to click what was going on. lol

I was 9 days over, had false start the night before but on the day it started I had been fit as a fiddle and had 6 contractions then my waters broke lol

i cant believe how many are actually overdue rather than on time or before!! so glad some of you had no signs either everything is a sort of symptom spotting but i dont have any !!
