Hi, my baby is almost 5 months old. I just wondered how many naps others around this age are having? Also how much day time sleep and night time sleep are they getting?

Stalking. I'm interested to see what DS might be doing once he's over his illness as he's all over the place at the moment.

At 5 months my LO was having 3 naps a day. About 11 or 12 hours at night.
I can't remember how long each nap was, but I can remember she could not be awake for more than 2 hours at a time (often less) or she would get over tired.

At 6 months she turned it all upside down and went down to two naps.

24 weeks old here and sleeps 11-12hours at night and 3 30min naps a day x

We had three 20-40 minute naps daily. He slept 12-13 hours straight a night around 5.5 months.

We have one longer nap a day of about 1.5hrs (usually morning nap) and two other naps in mid and late afternoon that are 30-60min (usually 45). He sleeps 11-12hrs at night and wakes once or twice to eat.

My LO sleeps 10-11 hours a night, sometimes 12. He naps 3 times during the day. Morning nap usually stays around an hour, long afternoon nap (2+ hours), and a short evening nap. Usually about 14 hours a day.

This is an average day for us & I use the word average loosely because it varies quite often.

Wake up 6-7am
Go back to sleep 8am-9am
If I go back to sleep with him, which I have been doing, sleep until 11am
(If I don't go back to sleep he'll usually take a 20-40 min nap)
Anywhere between 1pm-5pm take two 20-40 min naps
5-6pm nap
8pm bed time
Any time between 11pm & 1am I will feed him, sometimes he wakes up, sometimes he sleeps through.

He was sleeping all night but now he's teething so has been moaning & waking multiple times. Hence me going back to sleep with him in the morning!

My ds at 5 months was sleeping 11-12 hrs at night and 3 x 40min naps in the day, usually about 11am, 2pm, 5pm then ready for bed at 8pm ;-)

My LO goes down for the night about 9pm-10pm, (late I know, but it works right now and otherwise she'd barely see her dad). She is typically up for 2 night feeds now, anywhere from 3-5 hours apart. Then she is up for the day between 8 and 9am.

She then has periods of wakefulness for about 2 hour increments until she naps for anywhere from about 30 minutes to a rare (and appreciated) hour and a half. I believe she has about 3-4 naps a day.

At five months her schedule looked like:

7:30am Wakeup
9:00am - 11:00am Nap
1:00pm - 3:00pm Nap
5:00pm - 6:00pm Nap
8:30pm Bedtime

Her schedule is still very similar except her naps are all 30 minutes shorter.

Emma is all over the place. Sometimes she can have up to 6 naps a day, but they only range in 15- 30 minutes. Usually I would say she has 4 half hour naps. For night, she goes to sleep about 9pm. She wakes usually three times (but sometimes up to 6) and wakes for the day between 6 and 7:15.

At five months her schedule looked like:

7:30am Wakeup
9:00am - 11:00am Nap
1:00pm - 3:00pm Nap
5:00pm - 6:00pm Nap
8:30pm Bedtime

Her schedule is still very similar except her naps are all 30 minutes shorter.

So jealous of this schedule!!!

4 (sometimes more or less) approx 30-45 min naps
Goes to bed at around 9pm, feeds every 3 or so hours, wakes between 6-8:30am

We're 100% baby-led so don't really keep track of it.
