Hey ladies,
I was 110 pounds before pregnancy, I'm now almost 22 weeks and I'm 128 pounds !
I've always been used to being small, so I feel really self concious about my weight :(
Someone even said 'your ass is getting big' at school the other day..
I literally went into the other room cause I felt like I was going to cry..

My question is, how much weight all together is someone that was my weight pre-pregnancy supposed to gain during the whole pregnancy?
Is gaining 18 pounds normal for 5 and a half months?
I'm just SOOO hungry all the time, it sucks !

You were a lower weight when you started so expect to gain a little more. Never feel bad about gaining weight while pregnant. You are growing a little person and weight is needed! I was small s with my first pregnancy and gained 40 pounds. Make sure you are choosing healthy foods.

Everyone is different, as you started out small, where you are sounds just fine. Yes, your butt may get bigger and your hips wider temporarily. Everyone gains in different spots, even during pregnancy. And your muscles and tendons relax, which helps you 'spread'. It's all temporary- and odds are, at your young age, your body will bounce right back very quickly. This is my fourth pregnancy and I am 40, and my body has gotten huge each time, and bounced right back within months :)

You're fine girl. 25 weeks and up 20 lbs. My doctor is happy with my weight gain so far. I was 125lbs pre pregnancy, so I was a normal weight. I gained 45 with my son, but also started out at 137 lbs. Just be conscience of what you put in your body, but don't stress over every little thing. :) Enjoy it as well!

Oh and I was under pre-preg weight by 4 months post partum :)

Thanks everyone :)
Makes me feel so much better,
Just such a big change !
But a good change of course :)

I just rang my midwife with this same question... She said the ranges are so vast and as long as your belly is growing and bubs is measuring ok then all is fine... Some people put on more and some people less..

I have put on 700grams (just over 1 pound) my whole 24 weeks so far and she isn't concerned in the slightest and I Was average to begin with

I feel massive too :( was 128 before which is a normal size and gained 14 in 20 weeks, feel a little heavy but not even a little bit worried, :)

You should be gaining weight, because the baby is growing and has his/her own weight, amniotic fluid adds weight, extra blood flow has weight, etc. The average is 25 lbs by the time you reach full term. I was 120 lbs now I'm 135 lbs.

I was 129 at 5 weeks and now at 14 weeks im 137! So in 9 weeks ive gained 9lb! Hmmm!

You can take a look at this link: https://www.babycenter.com/pregnancy-weight-gain-estimator It takes your height and weight pre-preg and then gives you a graph for healthy weight gain; you might find it helpful. :flower:

well your weight is healthy, but it depends how tall you are. If your only 5'2 then you are healthy, if your 110 pounds and 6ft, your under weight. So I'm going off my size. I was 5'2 and 125 pounds pre pregnancy....I gained 20 pounds BUT I worked really hard to not gain much weight. It went away fast. My son turned 1 yesterday and I'm down to 106 pounds. My friend gained around 45-50 pounds, and she gained everywhere, her face, thighs, butt etc, but her daughter is 13 months old and looks just as good as she did before, just a few stretchmarks on her hips. The saying is if your normal BMI 25-35 pound weight gain is normal 20lbs is the minimum, or so my doctor said for a normal healthy weight. Every woman gains differently with pregnancy.

128lbs is TINY! You have nothing to worry about! I Just had my Dr. appt today. I was 144 pre baby. Am 27 weeks and have gained 18lbs. I was getting depressed seeing 162lbs, but really I don’t look it. I can still fit into my jeans pre baby, and don’t see any added weight anywhere except for my growing bump and boobs. My Dr. even said today that my weight is fine and I can even gain more. Its just weird seeing that number.
