My young baby (3 weeks 6 days) sneezes at least 3 times a day, is this normal? I thought that perhaps this is because his airways are still unaccustomed to dust etc in the air??

Have any of you had a similar experience?

My little one sneezes several times a day and has done since she was born.... I thought it was normal and just them getting use to the air x x x

Hi there,
My baby is now 3 and a half months old and has always sneezed alot we were told by our health visitor that this is perfectly normal. Next time you see your health visitor you should mention it to see what she says. Sorry i'm not much help.

We wondered about that too (I was afraid she had a cold or was allergic to our cats), they just do it to clear out their little airways.

My little boy sneezes quite a lot and always has done. I think it's normal, like someone said: they are getting used to the air.

My baby sneezes a few times a day..has since she was born.

Omar used to sneeze when we move him frm one room to another esp when there is bright sunlight. He still sneezes when he goes out into the sun. xx

Same here I though she had allergies but she had no sore eyes or runny nose and still sneezes at least once a day now although her sneezes are very loud now and she sprays spit when she does it! Lol
xx

When Imi was tiny she sneezed loads!! Upto 10 times a day! Even more when she had her tubes in in special care - poor might would sneeze 5 times on the trot x

It's totally normal for them to sneeze a lot when they are new.

Sneezing in the sun/bright light is a genetic thing. I have it myself. Gabriel seems to have inherited the trait as well.

my baby sneezes alot too, and always twice in a row. The first one is really quiet then the second is always a proper snotty one accompanied by a river of dribble out his mouth. Haha bless him xxx

I was told they do it as it's their primary means of clearing their noses. And they mostly breathe through their nose at first.

My LO sneezes all the time, never just once at a time either, always 2 or 3, very loudly too!! lol

Harry always sneezes in threes, several times a day.
