It all depends on the person and when implantation happens. Usually around 9 days after ovulation you can get a positive, but it can be earlier or later. It also depends on the type of test you use.

Personally I would wait until 12 dPO... as you could get a when you could in fact be preggie but tested too early. Can be a bit disheartening.

I would wait until AF is due too (although I am very impatient!) like someone else said theres a higher risk of false negatives the earlier you test.
