I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I need some cleaning advice.

We are moving house in a couple of days so we took our bed down and put the mattress on the floor. This proved too much excitement for our puppy and she had an 'accident' (which she never does!! Typical!!) on the floor next to the bed. The mattress is not that wet, just a bit on the bottom but I really don't fancy my bed stinking of dog wee forever! I have used a towel to 'walk' most of the moisture out so it's pretty much dry but does anyone have any tips for getting rid of the smell?!

Thanks!

Bicarbonate of soda! Tip a whole tub on it and work it in then leave for 24 hours before hoovering it off.
We did this and it definitely works.
We've also had specialist mattress cleaning done as it was an expensive mattress that wasn't ours.
Xx

I used washing powder and hot water on mine, gave it a scrub then let it dry and used shake and vac and hoovered it off. I've never had anything spilt on it but I just decided it needed a clean.. it seemed to work

Biological washing powder and warm (not hot) water, the enzymes will break down some if what's in the wee. Follow this with rubbing in bicarbonate of soda and leave for 12 hours or longer then Hoover it off. This is what we did when we first got our puppy and she had a few little, only problem we had is that you could see where she'd been because the carpet was cleaner there lol.
