When I spilt a bottle, I used nail polish remover (can't remember if it was acetone or non acetone) on dark carpet with no ill effects. Test first though. I was in high school, I didn't test first I was just freaking out about spilling nail polish on the carpet.

I'm sure theres a pic on here somewhere. I managed to get it out working on it every singe day. They were also those bleach clean carpets.... a purchase I ended up very thankful for paying extra for lol
