Hello all!

I am in real need of some advise....
my partner is going back to work tomorrow and I am having visions of being clued to the bed with baby...unable to go to the loo or have a cup of tea:dohh:...lol...I am not very good at the skill - other mothers seem to have - being able to do everything with one hand....
I have a tricot slen wrap, which is like a moby....just one long piece of fabric....I tried using there instruction for "upright" carrying and it just don't seem secure at all.... I dare not take my hand off him at all....also his toes seem to get squashed a bit....

i also have a stretchy sling/wrap, but that feels even less secure....and I think the woven one is not recommended until much later

any suggestions of wraps, videos, ideas were I may be going wrong welcome!:flower:

my baby is a premmie and was born 7 weeks early....he is 6 weeks now and is a healthy 6lb7oz....so needs to be suitable for newborn I guess

practice, practice, practice.
It is daunting at first. take advantage of your oh still being here today to practice with him and you will then gain confidence, trust me.

I'd say tie it tighter than you think it needs to be before putting the baby in. I find with my Moby that it's actually secure enough to adjust without being tied. The first few days you'll want to go around with one hand (at least) on your baby until you get the hang of what feels right. Don't worry so much about toe squishing. He'll let you know if something is uncomfortable.

They have lots of easy-to-follow instruction videos. Good luck!
