how would you count this??

I got my period on April 12 ( but I only knew because I saw some brown wiping ) I didnt start actually bleeding til April 13th , so question number one when did my period start - what was day 1?

Two , all my cycles were 30-32 days long, the one before this was 28, so which number would you go by? 28, 30, 32?

I would say 12 and go with 30 days. That way it's an average.

i aways mark cd 1 as the first day of bleeding, not spotting. i usually spot 1-2 days before my period and i don't count them as cd 1.

I would say April 13th and I would go by average cycle.

First day you see red. If it was brown spotting on the 12th, then I would say CD 1 is the 13th

If its just dating u want for preg then they count by af

But I suppose when ov varies they hve to go by the one that doesn't vary
