I'd pronounce it Mah-Nah but then I am a NZer and that is how the Maori would say it and we hear it said around here often enough.

man-nah, but i'm not so sure (for me) about using that name. It's certainly interesting, but in many video games Mana is magic power. So it would be an interesting connection.

The reason we selected the name is both because of Mana from Heaven AND because in a lot of games (which are a big part of our geeky lives & one reason we fell so madly in love) Mana is the essence of life or the source of magical power.

I say it as Mah-na, like Mana from Heaven (or you know the softer pronunciation of Anna, the one that doesn't sound like Hannah... lol)

I never thought of May-na... it changes the word for me, so I don't think I'd go with that - but I see the long A being something people might occasionally pick up. Thanks for the input!
