So yesterday I received a letter from hospital saying I need iron following my 28wks blood (taken late due to xmas etc). I have been shattered these past few wks but put it down to being heavily pregnant & looking after our 1yr old who hasnt been well & also teething which meant I've not had much sleep for a few weeks.

Anyway feel better knowing that some iron may perk me up a bit so I dont feel completely zombified. Told hubby that it wasnt me just moaning at being tired there was another genuine reason. So I asked if he could help me a little more. He does work 5 sometimes 6days a wk & all i ask is that he sometimes puts a load of washing on, does the pots if I've cooked & help with our daughter. He never gets up at night with her as I think its unfair when he has to go to work.

Last night however after showing him my letter, I decided to go to sleep, I did her our LO cry but he did see to her. I did wake up a few times with her & I did get up with her. LO woke at 9am, asked hubby if he could change her & he moaned "You got more sleep then me why should I get up, we're not doing anything today!"

I feel like WTF I always get up with her at night even at wkends its rare for him to do so as I hear her first. So mad cos it's like he's jealous for one night only I've had a couple of hrs more sleep. I thought with docs saying I need more iron he'd be understanding but it's like he's not bothered.

Sorry for long rant, just so mad. Anybody else feel their OHs sometimes aint bothered?

wow i think ur OH needs to pull his socks up! i thought mine was bad but he still gets up with my son. you must be so so tired poor you hun! i think u need words with him.

:hugs: I could have written this myself! Since Nolan was born I have taken care of him at night and woken up with him in the mornings (usually 5 am!) And he has the nerve to whine and complain every morning that I wake up up too early at 8:30am!! He gets AT LEAST a solid 8.5 hours of sleep EVERY night. I get a shattered 6 hours if I am lucky, so I wake him up so I can go back to sleep for an hour or 2 (DH works evenings) and he always makes little comments about how I ALWAYS sleep. I want to punch him in the face most days.

Sorry, my rant is over. :haha: Wish I had some advice, but I am in the same boat.

Would be useful if for 1wk only the men in our lives could be pregnant & have to look after our other kids & do all the housework, we could sleep at night & go to work for them. Bet they soon realise what we go through. I know going to work is hard but a mum is a full time job with rarely anytime away from it.

I suppose our men arent as bad as some out there & we shoud be lucky, but a bit of pampering, help & tlc off them from time to time would be nice :D

Exactly, DH is very good man... he can just be a little selfish sometimes! :dohh: I mean come on, we are only creating human life right now! :haha:
