I'm not sure this is something worth worrying about but mu hubby's likes to have a drink or two of beer most evenings, he does go the odd night but i don't think he's ever gone more than a few days without a drink.
I'm just thinking ahead for when labour is expected, are your hubbies planning to go tee total in the run up to labour or just have one per evening.
Should I be concerned about this?

I would ask my OH to refrain from drinking in the last few days as he may need to drive me to hospital and I want us all to be safe! But it's so difficult to predict when you will go into labour. I would just have a light-hearted word about it with him. x x

Luckily for me I think my husband will be afraid to drink when I am a few weeks off my due date. My hubby doesn't usually drink that often anyways and for us the hospital is literally 2mins away and thats with getting stuck at traffic lights  This is my second baby so the dr is expecting me to go early but this is my husbands first baby so he is really really into it and super excited. He really wants everything to go well and be able to support me the whole way so I guess I am lucky.

I would just kind of mention it in a lighthearted way and see what kind of response you get. :hugs:

Luckily my boy doesn't drink but he also doesn't drive. Birth time is going to be fun! The hospital is silly close to our home though so we're looking at wheelbarrows, maybe with a nice comfy single mattress to line it with and he can wheel me there! ;)

lool same here, OH doesn't really drink anymore (prefers to spend the whole night on the Xbox tho..!) But he doesn't drive either. Luckily hospital is also close for us, although not really wheelbarrow distance..! I'm planning to have a homebirth so hopefully this won't be an issue anyway

With our first baby my OH decided not to drink at all in the run up to it - and this was over Christmas!

With the roads covered in snow and big hills to the hospital he didn't even want one lite beer in his system just in case, bless him!

Hmm, I did the informal chat thing and from what I can tell he will 'cut down' after Xmas, and go tee total even closer to my end of Jan due although he won't give me specific dates! I reckon he's going to get home from work every nit and be saying to me ' how are you feeling, do you think the baby is coming yet' then proceed to the fridge if I say no!
Time will tell I guess, don't think he thinks tee total I'll be tough for him but I think it will!

I am due on New Years eve so hubby will not be drinking. Poor him, we arent massive drinkers and dont drink in the house at all, however i think the weekends over xmas will be a bit tough on him. x x x x
