just fussed n did my st moriz fake tan mousse one (altho its probs on its way out as dont use it that much n had it a while) to cheer mysel up and went downstairs hubby shouted what u done that for u cant put that on ur pregnant !! now im absolutely crapping them iv done something harmful??? help please!!!

I have no idea if it's safe or not. You can't worry about it now since it's done. :) I would ask your doctor what he/she recommends before doing it again.

I don't know hun but tbh you've done it now so what's done is done - no amount of worrying will change it. I'm sure it'll be fine - think of all the celebs that fake tan in pregnancy - you can't use sunbeds yet they're always golden brown

Aaaaw, hun i have no idea?! i'm sure it'll be ok, what do men know anyway??! big hugs. xxxxx

Hun don't worry, I'm sure u've done no harm or it would say on the tin "do not use if pregnant" or something along those lines. Remember these companies always like to cover their backsides, if there was the slightest risk they'd put a disclaimer in there somewhere x x

thanks all :( i know i shudnt worry cos its done now lol but i dunno whether to leave it n go to sleep or wash it off now... i did it cos we have a army function tomoro night n i cant drink, n not risking eating the bbq food n look like a big bloated thing atm lool so thort il perk myself up now im guessin i cant put false eyelashes on either :/ xxx

hey hun, i checked this when i first got pregnant cos i love my spray tans. some places do not advise u to use fake tan but only because ur skin is more sensitive during pregnancy and could cause an allergic reaction. they do not harm ur baby. other places just suggest patch tests before each use, dnt worry, ive been continuing mine after checking with both my salon and my midwife, its fine xxx

Hey hun please don't take my word for it but on my 'what to expect' app it says about ditching the sunbeds for a bottle glow instead? Im sure its ok but as the others say check with your doctor or mw. Don't stress about it I'm sure you have done no harm. X

I'm into tanning in the tanning bed as often as I can (without going TOO crazy of course.) Anyway, I decided to google "tanning in pregnancy" recently to see what came up and everything I read said to stay away from the tanning beds and also not to use the sunlight to tan. But recommended self-tanners/bronzers to maintain the tan look. It should be okay. Ask a doctor if you're really worried.

Noo your fine! I studied beauty the only thing you cant use is oils etc as we dont know the effect thats with massage, Beauty things that arnet safe are like botox, lip fillers etc. xxx

I've read that self tanners are okay because your body doesn't absorb it, it just temporarily stains your skin. :)

Self tanners are fine, and you can wear your false eyelashes too!

I thought the only worry was sunbeds?? Surely bottled stuff can't do much damage? :)

thanks everyone i know i totaly didnt think out of putting fake tan on until my husband looked at me with disbelief that i had it on lool think i panicked more so because we had to go for a early scan yesterday (am only 6 weeks) due to spotting this last 2 weeks on and off.... but we saw baby and heartbeat in the right place so i was finally relaxing abit until that little freak out lool thank u all tho for puttin my mind at rest... oh and it turned out really well :D yaaayyy did itch tho last night! never normally itches! lool xxx
