Hi all. I was recently surprised with a diagnosis of hypothyroidism after some blood work. I'm now on medication for it and I'm getting my levels rechecked in a couple of months. For quite some time, I've had luteal phases lasting just about ten days. I've been reading about hypothyroidism and discovered it can shorten your LP and make it hard to get pregnant.

Has anyone had experience with hypothyroidism medication lengthening your LP? It makes me sick to think I'm the reason we haven't been successful yet and I'm wondering how long it might take to have a noticeable affect on my LP length.

They say 9 days is the minimum required to get pregnant, I had a bfp at 10dpo so it's possible - just more difficult.

There's a few things that might help your LP, vitamin b6, vitex and progestrone cream.

Other synthetic progestins can be proscribed by the doctor to extend the phase.
