Morning ladies, hope you all had a fab weekend!

Was just wondering if any of you suffer with an underactive thyroid? I've had it for a while now but didn't realise that it was so "interesting" to the doctors while pregnant. I've been put on a medium risk consultancy pregnancy! When i went to see the consultant there were like 7 people in the room all nodding and taking notes on me and i have a direct line number for some other dude who specialises in the condition. I was so overwhelmed and started crapping myself as i hadn't took my meds for over 4 weeks before that as i was so ill with MS. My bloods were terrible and i have had my prescription put up from 50mcg to 125mcg.

So silly me googled it and found a load of stuff on babies with low IQ, premature births and low birth weights so naturally i am officially frieking out!!

So was hoping for some positive stories about hypo ladies who have had kiddies and successful pregnancy's xx

Toon Army! Hello, I live in Australia but have lived in Newcastle Upon Tyne and my hubby is huge Newcastle United fan :)

I am just going through what your post above mentions - and then I noticed your post was from 2008 - how did your pregnancy go?

The pregnancy was fine chick. My son is almost 3 now and 11 months and 4 days after he was born I had another little boy. His pregnancy was fine also.
I think I was scared over nothing to be honest, as long as the condition is controlled and you look after yourself all should be good.

My brother lives in Oz, where in Australia do you live? Xx

That's great that all worked out so well for you :)

We're in Newcastle in Australia lol
