hi,does anybody knows how do you get treated for hypothyroidism during pregnancy? are you classiffied as low or high risk? i am currently taking my medicine, since i have had it before getting pregnant, but i don't know when am i gonna get my appointment with my mw, since i have to call for an app on monday and i believe the first visit they only do paper work for insurance?
thanks for responding:flower:

I have hypothyroidism. I don't think it makes you high risk. I am high risk because of something else. But I do know that your meds can increase during pregnancy because of all the changes in your body. Just keep taking your meds and I am sure when you see the mw she will do labs :)

Sorry I can't help but too am in the same situation and hoping I get a referral to a specialist so I know I'm monitored throughout my pregnancy. Hoping midwife has all the anwsering but havnt had a call yet.

I'm Hypo as well and so far it has meant an increase in folic acid (5mg instead of 400mcg) and I have and will continue to have my bloods checked on a regular basis as its likely that there will be fluctuations that will require an adjustment in my meds.
I am classed as high risk, but there are other factors involved so it may be that you wont be. Either way, try not to worry and enjoy your pregnancy :)
