I am being very stupid and cant seem to add a preg ticker

is anyone able to give me an idiots guide to see if I am doing it wrong??

Go onto a website like https://lilypie.com/ (for example) create your ticker and then copy the 'BB code' which is the code that has tags like this -

Then on BnB, go into your user control panel, select to edit your signature and paste the code into it. Save and it should work. :)
