Hi everyone,

I have been having a look at this site for months now and thought it's about time I joined!
I've been ttc for the past 10 months, even though it's been about 15 cycles.
I have been given a blood test which showed I am ovulating and I have another doc appointment on Tuesday.

Every month about 4 days before AF is due I turn into a crazy person obsessing with symptoms and
thinking this could be the month!

My hubbie understands up to a point but I am desperate to hear from girls in the same boat as me!

Look forward to hearing from you all xxx

hi and welcome dinosaur2010

oh god! you spund exactly like me LOL! i always think its 'my lucky' month and sympton spot like mad!!

ive been ttc for 12 years now so its really taking its toll on me!

i really hope you get your :bfp: really soon hun xx

Hello Dinosaur2010. I'm also new and i have benn trying since april 09. This is my first month using preseed and i'm hoping i will be lucky this cycle

Same! We are using preseed this month too! I've been hearing so many success stories from using it but I am trying not to get my hopes up too much!

A question for kelly- what are the next steps to take after ttc 1 year? What will the doc suggest?
I know everyone is different but would they usually send you straight away for tests or prescribe clomid or what?

At first I was all 'I want a baby naturally' etc but now I am so thankful for modern medicines options.

Hiya O:)

We've been trying over 12months now and also on cycle 15
You must have short cycles! lol

My OH has doctors appointment Tuesday (although he's already been and was told to book a double appoint)

We don't smoke, rarley drink, healthy lifestyle and diet, we're young and have no underlying disease, illness or condition :(

I'm in the middle of a TON of work right now so I'll be booking an appointment straight after my last exam in May O:)

AF has just left town and I'm due to ov 1 - 3rd April
We're trying softcups and conceive plus this month

:flower:

xx

EDIT: Also my first month temping O:)

Hi i am on cycle 10 this month!!! fingers crossed for you were trying preseed this month too xx

hey dinosaur 2010!

yes they will test to make sure you dont have endometriosis or pcos, check if your ovulating and also check your tubes are not blocked.
obviously hubby will get tested too.
they normally give clomid if your not ovulating, but sometimes they prescribe it even if you are (like me!) as it helps produce more eggs giving you a better chance.

lots of luck xxxx

Hello, Af is in town for me which means after it'l be my 11mth TTC! I've weird cycles since coming off the pill and have a late ovulation and a short LP so I'm probably screwed LOL!! I've tried Angus Cactus and B100 neither which helped. This month I'm gonna try Soy CD3-7, CBFM and Maca (possibly if it goes with Soy!) Jeez I must sound desperate LOL!

Got two months left till my doc will refer me to fertility clinic so i'm trying everything first! Anyone else think it'd just be a matter of :sex: and hey presto......baby???!!

Oh yea- we spend so much time and money trying to prevent pregnancy! I remember freaking out when I missed a pill one day! I thought it would be easier than this!!
My doctor said it's like rolling a number 6 on a dice- some people get 6 straight away- others have to keep rolling and rolling!!

Its great hearing from other gals in the same boat! Men just don't feel it so strongly!! My hubby tries to be so sympathetic and so caring but he'll never fully understand the physical need for a baby!!

Ive not exactly been trying for 10 months yet currently 5 months but I totally understand where you are coming from as with my first it took me a year to conceive, not as long as others I know but when you are in the moment its so heartbreaking. I just wanted to let you know I have experienced this with all the medical checks etc and here if you need support :hugs:

Thanks wantingagirl- so did you end up conceiving your first naturally or with help?
I wouldn't mind waiting another 10 months as long as someone could guarentee me that it would definately happen!! It's this not knowing that's annoying me!
It's not fair how some decide they want a baby and get pregnant within a few months, but others have to wait years!

Xx

Hi dinasour, Welcome to BnB! Ive been TTC since August 08 concieved twice but ended in miscarriage...so frustrating when uve been TTC for a while some people just seem to pop them out lol!

Hi Dinosaur2010 - Yes I did on my 12th cycle thankfully. I had all the checks done aswell as my DH and had Laproscopy as I had Appendicitus when I was younger just to ensure my tubes were not blocked. I went to an appointment for IVF but due to having a stepson that lives with me fulltime I was not elligible for it free off the NHS so me and DH went home to save carried on as normal and conceived two weeks later. I hope my story gives you hope that it can happen. I have always been so confused as my mum and sisters get pregnant just like that but guess not like that for us. Like I said though I have not been trying as long as some others so just want to let you know im here. Yes others get pregnant just like that dont know how lucky they are.

So sorry for your losses Zoe and yes it is so not fair esp ones that were not even planned.

obviously they know they are lucky as want their child (just a figure of speech) just takes us a bit longer than others

Hi dinosaur2010 - whats with the name? I have visions of a T Rex typing at the computer with long fingernails :haha:

OH and I have been trying for about 7 months now, I joined this board this month and have learnt so much. I was under the naive impressions that getting pregnant was easy (like the things they say at work "don't sit at that desk, everyone who sits at that desk always falls pregnant" - I moved all my stuff and have been camping out on 'that desk' for months and still no joy!)

Good luck sending:dust: your way

haha Ejay sorry nearly fell off my chair reading about your visions

Yeah like in sex ed class where 'it only takes once' as if :dohh:

I never thought this process would be such a rollarcoaster, just imagined it'd happen right away. No reason to not think that.

Hmmmmm ejay, there were TWO girls at work just gone on maternity so maybe i'l take it in turns to sit at both desks LOL!!!
