I am loving all this pregnancy stuff. My wife gets crazy mood swings, and I just think its terribly cute and endearing.

Talking to other men, and just the general way this is treated in popular culture, I gather that I am supposed to get all pissy and upset about it... but I dont understand how that could be the case.

This is all about the baby WE are going to have. She is doing the MUCH harder part of that, so why would anyone feel anything other than great love and overwhelming desire to make it as easy and comfortable for her as possible?

And for men out there - if you find that the mood swings are getting to you, try this - smile, give her a big kiss and say something like "I love your mood swings. The passion you have is one of the reasons I love you, even if its being passionately annoyed at me :D and I know that you are under immense stress and physically uncomfortable a lot of the time, and all of that is because you are carrying OUR baby, the product of our love, and for that I love you even more" Then get her some ice chips and grab the lotion for a good long foot rub.

Makes the whole thing much easier :D

On another note - she ate two dinners last night :D. I made chicken, cole slaw, cheddar bratwurst (lol) and a nice loaf of bread. She ate a breast, two legs and a thigh, half the loaf of bread, a good 1/2 lb. of slaw, and two brats. :D Then she went into "OMG Im such a cow" mode, so I took an hour or two to demonstrate in no uncertain terms that I still find her attractive. :sex:

:D

I'm really enjoying this whole experience. :happydance:

I am going to MAKE my hubby read this!!!!!!

My hubby is like you. He's so chilled out about it. Just gives me a hug when I have a freak out. Luckily I haven't been too bad (or so I think!).

It doesn't hurt to remind me he was the one that got me knocked up once in a while ;)

Each to their own but that post made me feel slightly queasy :)

My Oh read this and said he's glad YOUR enjoying the experience :haha:

I think it's really great that you are so supportive, I really do... But if my husband said that 'he loves my mood swings and my passion is why he fell in love with me' whilst I was in mid swing, I would probaly swing for him with anything large and heavy I could find!!! :)
My husband has kissed my cheek and told me to stop being so moody - that works with me as it made me see I was being unreasonable.....!

That's amazing that you can have such a sweet outlook on one of the more frustrating aspects of pregnancy!

Agreed! DH always says 'it's just mood swings' when I'm getting annoyed with him...and I usually end up shouting 'no you're just being a jerk!' lol. Most things are not pregnancy related, sometimes he's being a twat! :haha:
I'd also know something was seriously wrong if DH talked to me like that.

:D

I have always leaned more towards the poetic side I suppose. \\:D/

Oh my gosh...... :yipee: do you have a brother? I have a friend who needs a husband like you! That was very sweet!! She is very, very lucky!!

aww bless you

If my OH ever said something along those lines to me I would simply look at him and say "What is it that you want to buy and how much does it cost?" Cause he wants something!! :haha:

I never had any pregnancy symptoms, but my husband did. We found it rather amusing that he was the only one with heartburn and that he gained more weight than I did.

i just teared up. yeah, "hormotional" much? wish all men had your perspective on this!

Glad you are both enjoying the pregnancy. I have to say I clenched my fists at your reaction her mood swings though:blush:. My OH knows to let me ride it out, I hate to be touched and petted when I'm angry!:haha:

awwww beautiful! :flower: youre sooo sweet! Shes a lucky lady :D
My OH is really good with pregnancy things... but he can have his moments when he just laughs off all the awful things that come with pregnancy and says im being dramatic... which is extremely annoying. xxx
