Im sick of fob (bf) + family, everybody hates each other, mum n dad hate my bf, and we are moving house next week, but the bath is broken (brother dropped a brick in it last week) so we have to now buy a new bath or we wont get our deposit back. Our rent is too high so housing benefit wont cover it, bf wont attempt to get a job. Im just thinking baby will be better off without him, he doesnt care :'(

Aaw hun your brother dropped a brick in the bath?! What the hell was he doing with a brick in the bathroom?! If he did it on purpose he should be paying. As for OH give him an ultimatum? Tell him to get a job or at least try or your out. And why not get somewhere from the council the rent will only be £70-80 a week if you have to pay it and you shouldn't have to as housing benefit will cover it. Word of advice though apply for housing just in your name so no matter what you and baby have that house

Thanks he was putting up a new tv ariel (the loft is above the bath) but there was a gap anyway so it was kinda the landlords fault as it was really dangerous. Ive looked but you are only entitled to up to £50 a week housing benefit if you are single, but when you have a baby it goes up to £97 x

True true but you'll also get some kind of income support or jobseekers, or you could just get a saturday job (or more importantly your OH could) to get the extra £20/30 you need. Or move back home until the baby is nearly born and then get a place, at least that way you're not spending money on rent in the mean time too xxxx

oh god i feel awful now.. he's just gone and bought bubz a cotbed, bedding set with matching bear curtains, and this baby changing unit/dresser from toys r us. Im evil sayin all that stuff
