I use Dylon powdered dyes (red, yellow and blue - I like mixing my own rather than using premixed colours - but its easier that way especially if your not the best artist hehe) that you just mix up yourself with water - best to go for the most vibrant ones ! Each packet usually does a few whole garments worth of dying but I just use enough to fill a squirty bottle cause your only splodging parts of the fabric and that way you have some left over powder for a few more sessions! But I could imagine you can use pretty much any fabric dye really! I get mine from my local haberdashery but I've seen it on the market and most other fabricy/craft shops
