Thats what i feel like yelling. My son is almost 5 months old and ive been really stressed and deppressed it feels like. I have kept it to myself until just last week but idk what to do should i see the doc for ppd or what. My Hubby didnt understand at first but finally realized it when he like stood back and looked at the situation for the last few months. It has gotton so bad i only eat because im breastfeeding and i am losing my hair like crazy. So any advice???:confused:

You have taken the first step by admitting, albeit on an internet forum, that you need some help. You should definitely speak to your doctor hun, there is so much help out there for people with ppd - you don't have to go it alone xxx

:hugs:I definitely think a chat with your doctor wouldn't hurt if you're feeling bad, plus of OH knows how you feel is there anything he could do to help you? Maybe he could take LO off your hands for a few hours so you can have some time to yourself?

I wouldn't worry about the hair loss unless it's really excessive. It's completely normal after childbirth as you don't lose much during pregnancy so all the extra falls out afterwards, mine is falling out all over the place too

:hugs:

I felt exactly the same as you. Life was very hard, and not very enjoyable until lo was about 5 1/2 months.

See the doc, call your hv, get assessed. If it is ppd, treatement is really effective. If not, the extra support will help while you pull round.

speak to your dr, you made the biggest step by admitting you need help so let them help you. :hugs:

Thanks to all of you ladies. I really dont want to go to the doctor but i think im ruining my relationship. And its truely not my fault i feel like this. Im trying to be happy positive but im so not underneith

I'd definitely go see your doctor, hun. It's not your fault that you're feeling bad - PPD (if you have it) is an illness like the flu or measles. You can't help the way you're feeling.

If you're not keen on taking medication, there's always counselling.

It's tough but you've taken the first step by admitting you need help. You will get through this! :hugs:

I'm going through the same thing and just started meds, glad to see I'm not alone.

Like the other ladies have said I would definitely speak to your doctor about it. If it is depression, you need to get it treated, it's important for especially you! Also, it may help by writing in a diary or talking to a family member or friend. I had baby blues which went away a few weeks after birth and it was just awful. :hugs:
