I never thought i would be here

Hi all, After 15 years together, 11 of which we have been married, me and the other half have decided that it will soon be the right time to try. Just wondered if it has taken anyone else out there this long or if we really are as odd as I think

I always said i NEVER wanted children (im 21) but we just bought our own house this year and now its all i think about

Hi, It's not that I didn't want children. When i look into my future I always imaged us with kids, it has just never been then right time, work, training, getting married buy a beautiful but falling down house, then a new job and more trianing. But has all now started to fall into place and we are planning to start trying next year, but it all seems a bit surreal. I will be 35 before we start trying and my home and job have always come first, it all feels a bit strange but exciting. Thanks for listening.

I have a few friends that took this path....

Im 35 next year and trying at the moment for our 3rd.... although its been 8 years since our last!! Thought we were 'done' ...but my broody chemical kicked in for the first time ever and well... here we go!

Nearly in the same situation, I'm 30 (DH is 31), been together 10 yrs (married for 1) and will be trying for our 1st in Dec (I'll be 31). Good luck!

Hi, Not even thought about how many, would just be glad with 1 at the moment Need to see how easy it is to get pregnant first. I'm very aware that because of my age it may not be easy, so we will see.

Just a bit of advice if you don't mind, I love being in a great job with security, but it isn't the be all and end all. I have put so much in front of my family, i may not end up with one. I know there is always the risk, none of us know how easy it will be but earlier you find out there is a problem more time you will have to do something about it. But saying all that knowing that you don't have to worry about the bills and what you can aford to buy your baby is great. Just try and get a better balance than me.
