I passed my interview at college so im starting the midwife course in september. Im really happy :)

But at the same time i feel worried as lo is going to have to go into nursery, which i no isnt a bad thing... but how am i going to leave her??? I have to enrol on the 30th this month and its gunna take 4 hours! I cant take lo so my sister is going to look after her, i know she will be fine... but still, if im worried about 4 hours how will i manage a whole day????? lol

Its not as if the nursery is far, its in the actual college, so i can go see her in all my breaks, and its only 4 days a week, but im still scared lol

xx

aww wow is there anything in particular you have to have to train? and how long is the course? i would love to do this after i have had baby #2 x
hope you dont mind me asking x

Its a access to midwifery course, you do it for a year, and then get to go to uni :)

The access course is kind of like doing all the a levels you would need to become a midwife in a year, aswell as looking at the midwife side of things!

xxx

Aww well done, just think of the 4 hours as a stepping stone to all day lol. At the end of the day your doing it for a better future for her, you'll get used to it babe xx

Yay well done Lou!!! I'm so happy for you! Where are you looking at doing your midwifery course? I trained at UWE in Bristol as a Children's Nurse.

The course is at swindon college, then i was hoping either oxford brooks, or bristol aswell to do the degree :)

Thanks everyone :hugs:

xx

aww well done! thats awesome! dont worry she will love nursey!lots of toys and children and games?? who wouldnt! :haha: xx

Maybe she will swap with me and i can go nursery instead?? Id happily sit there and play with toys all day :haha: heehee

xx

Lol. She will love it. And I can highly recommend Bristol for Nursing and Midwifery :) The placements are much better cos we have zones rather than just the 1 hospital to go to.

You are sooo lucky you get the chance to go back :( good luck to you I'm so jealous, I want to do an access course this year... but no colleges near here have nurseries :( or a child care fund thingy to help pay for private childcare, bummer :( x

The thing is though, with oxford brooks, i can go to the hospital here in swindon to train, so i wouldnt have as much to travel then, i dont think i could do that in bristol :(
