I was very much looking forward to nausea ending and getting my energy back once I got to second tri. Afterall, I kept reading it is the best part of pregnancy- the golden trimester. Not so much! ;)

On the plus side, nausea is gone. But I'm still exhausted all the time! Husband said they should make a book "what to Expect When You're Expecting With a Toddler". If I'd read that book, maybe I would have been prepared to still want to sleep all the time! (And I didn't experience an amazing period in last pregnancy since we were in and out of ER during 2nd tri and then my son was born early at beginning of 3rd tri)

Ah well...guess it's time to start adjusting my expectations. I am ever thankful thoigh to be having a wonderfully boring pregnancy so far after the last experience

Omg I could have written this post!! I'm still exhausted!!! Wish it would just lift!!

I'm sooo tired!!! and feel like poo still alot of the time ! x

I didn't start to feel better until 20 weeks. Still get tired easily but not as bad as before. I was the same with DS though.

I finally started feeling better around 20 weeks and then BAM nasty cold that wont go away  lol

I told DH that I am absolutely convinced that the 2nd trimester golden time is a load of malarkey put out to convince women to get pregnant.

This is the last few days of 2nd tri for me and I have yet to get the energy, sex drive, good skin, glow, or intense orgasms that were all but promised!!

im still exhausted and my baby girl's kicks are getting strong enough to awaken me! which, i dont mind but now im just suffering chest and back pains and im not sure why. doctors think its pregnancy and that its surely going to get worse. guhh

Ugh. I got my sex drive back for like 2 days. It was great. Then.... :nope: back to nothing

Same here. Still. So. Tired.

I didn't remember being this tired in the second tri when pregnant with DS, but then, I didn't have a 20 month old DS yet...

Aww hun I feel for you with a toddler too! Maybe they say its golden compared to the constant nausea and fatigue of the first. Lets hope 3rd tri isn't too bad.

I envy you ladies for having no energy. I have energy, but still throwing up 2-3x a day. It's embarrassing at work with 3 other women in the stalls and I am making these lovely gagging sounds, and then worse... The sound of my lunch hitting the water. I am soooo ready to be over this.

You poor thing! :hugs: Hopefully not long left now until the ms subsides a bit!

The fatigue is actually worse now I think!

How horrible! Long shot but could you be low on iron maybe?

probably not, I am probably low on sleep. The insomnia didn't kick in until the second tri, and DS will NOT let me sleep in. So I have trouble going to sleep, and if I wake up to pee going back to sleep, and then I have to get up with the toddler...

My energy issue is worse than first tri and it's probably due to lack of sleep. My sciatica has been so bad that if I don't wake up to pee, I am waking up to sharp shooting pains from the waist down on my right leg. So I am basically doing benadryl or tylenol pm and cat naps.

i am having some days like this too, but overall its soooo up and down.

i have a 2.5 year old and a 1.2 year old and I stay at home with them and some days i'm very productive and other days i get to dinnertime hardly awake.

I also think that a lot of my so-called "productivity" in the past was really just being over-caffeinated and i cut back significantly during pregnancy so i'm sure that's a factor too.

also, from experience with my previous pregnancies, the 2nd trimester is the WORST in terms of aches and pains. My lower back hurts always, hips are sore, etc. By third trimester, my body has adjusted (at least it did the last 2 times and I hope it does this time!)

Praying that everyone gets through it with as much grace as possible!

I'm glad to hear that im not the only one! :) and hopefully at 20 weeks I might be so lucky as some of you and get some energy back!

Insomnia/sleep deprivation (like of late when my son is on his 7th ear infection!) makes nausea/exhaustion that much worse.

But you're right pansorie- I'm so glad to be past daily nausea and lucky mine didn't get as bad as yours.

I could fall asleep on a washing line! I don't know if a these constant colds or looking after a 2yo (or both!) are making me feel worse
