im 34 weeks tomorrow and not seeing MW till 38 weeks as shes on holiday.....!
ughh..isnt a month a bit long to wait? i've not done anything birthplan wise with her or even discuss what hopital i want etc...
I had an app at 33 weeks, them 36 then 38 and next week 39 then 40!! so yeah 4 weeks is quite a long time. My MW said that at 36 weeks it becomes 2 weeks then 38 weeks onwards its every week!!
I have been seeing my doctor every 2 wks since 32wks! and will until 36wks... I have my next doctors appointment next week (36wks) and then every week after that!! Sounds a little long of a wait to me!
Ive just mentioned this, i saw my MW on monday and im not seeing her now till october the 12th and im due on the 30th! im gonna ring her and ask whats going on cos im confused
Hi yes it is meant to be every 2 weeks, i had my appointment mon and was 35weeks and got appointment in 2 weeks to go through birth plan etc and this is my 3rd baby! Can you not see someone else? or maybe ring docs and express your concern?x
Ive just had my midwife appointment and should be seeing her in another 2 weeks but they have some sort of training day so it will be another 3 weeks now when i see her so will be nearly 37 weeks!
But im also the same where i have discussed a birth plan or anything like that so hopefully will be enough time x
Over here its every 2 weeks from 28 weeks onwards. And that's between the MW and the hospital..
I would voice your concerns at your next appointment.you can als do one up yourself the girls here are great for advice (thats how I did mine) and present it to her ask her for her advice as a medical personnal
The best thing to do is ring and keep ringing until they take notice if she's on holidays they will have to have a replacement.
I accualy had my appointment yesterday and now I have to wait until i'm 37 as she's also on holidays. But here,it's 32-34,then 34-36 and then weekly afterwards.x
Here first time mum see the mw 30,34,36,38,39,40. If its not your first its 30, 34, 36, 40!! But i have to see the mw at 38weeks but i don't actually know why lol x
I'm just seeing a community midwife at the doctors so it's not always the same one.
I had seen the same one up until last Friday, when it was someone different as the usual midwife was on holiday. I was 32+5 and she told me that they needed to see me again in 2 weeks. I would try and speak to someone about it as it's a long time to wait, especially as it's your first xx
i didnt even have a 34 week appointment. mine went from 31 weeks to 36 weeks. i then had a 37 week one to check position as they thought he may be breech and my next one isnt until 39 weeks so if they werent concerned about his position i would have waited 3 weeks anyway. im not bothered though, the appointments are pretty unnecesseary and she never discussed feeding or anything like that with me just asked what i'd like to do and did a really tiny birth plan that doesnt even apply to me now anyway x
I'm considered high risk cos of a congenital heart defect. I'm due in 13 days (22nd) I last saw the consultant at 35 weeks & will not see her again until the day before I'm due. I am also due to see the MW 2 days before my due date - which seems strange!
When I had my 1st child in 1999 I was seeing the consultant every week from 36 weeks, I suppose its down to cutbacks
Mine alternates between the mw and the GP every 2 weeks which is weird. I have moved and previously I always saw the community mw. Luckily I have booked in to see the antenatal GP anyway, I have that Monday at 31+5. Then mw at 34, GP 36, mw 38, 39, 40, 41
