I thought we got child benefit from 29 weeks - did I imagine it? UPDATE: answered

Don't get me started on the whole benefits etc for people who work. It's bad enough that those on MA don't get taxed but SMP does (exception being self employed which I will be very soon after LO is born fingers crossed). I don't earn a great deal and neither does hubby but our combined wage puts us well above the threshold for any help - which quite frankly sucks!!! We've all paid our taxes for years! We deserve a little payback Mr Brown!!!

Exactly! I was watching The Hospital the other day about teenage mums and some of these girls were 16 and had never worked, yet were getting council houses and grants galore. I don't think they should not be given them and left on the streets, don't get me wrong, but I've worked since I was 16 (even around my degree) and would like a little slack now too, please!
