I told work!

I'm 8 weeks pregnant tomorrow and have been in my new job only 5 weeks. I have been so nervous since getting our BFP about telling them, that i decided not to wait and told my manager today.

She was absolutely great. I have only known her 5 weeks and she hugged me and said congratulations and was very happy for me. I told her my concerns about just starting the job and she told me not to worry etc. I think I'm lucky in that my new job was an internal move and I have been with the company 6 years so will be entitled to all MAT leave etc.

I can relate to that as although I've been in my job 2yrs+ I was still really nervous about telling them as my boss has only just sorted out a payrise for me even though nobody should be getting them so I thought that he would go mental....

But when I told him, he was absolutely thrilled for me and now he's being really sweet and making sure I'm ok and not carrying anything heavy etc
