i wanna name my kid hammer when he pops out but my gf dont like that name. she say its stupid. i kinda like it but i guess she have a say in it too. i think it gonna be a boy, i hope it a boy. can you tell without a dr what it gonna be before it pop out.

you can only tell from an ultrasound which will be the anomoly one at 20 weeks ish or if you have an amniocentesis which is where they stick a needle in the amniotic fluid to check for genetic disorders at about 16 weeks but it isnt common people have that unless a quad test comes back at high risk

Sorry but I don't like Hammer either. You've got to think about what your child might want to do with their life. Hammer may be cool on a 16 year old boy, but what if at 45 he'd like to be a judge or a doctor or CEO of a company? Your name makes people see you in a certain light and I don't think "Hammer" would help him in his professional life.

We're definitely not being mean, you asked our opinions and we're telling you that your girlfriend is right and it is a stupid name. I don't really like Rindley or Zirconia either but Hammer is definitely not better! And it is your girlfriend and your child so if you decide that Hammer is the name you want, great, you're the one who asked our opinions.

Of course you should have some say in it as well.. it shouldn't just be her choice at all, no one is saying that. It's a decision that has to be made by the both of you. And that's great you've been making money and buying stuff for your baby, I'm sure your girlfriend really appreciates it.
