Hey everyone ... Wondered if anyone fancied joining me in their cycle of Ivf/Icsi ?

I'm bd day 14 today ... No sign of period
Waiting for period to arrive hope it arrives by Friday as due to start stimming :nope::nope:

Feeling a bit low about this cycle, I know it's a good chance as any but tainted with failed cycle 1.

All your hopes and dreams are in this ... So it breaks you when it doesn't go to plan
:hugs::hugs:

Hi!

I am also due to start ICSI, this will be our first cycle.

Just waiting for my period to arrive, CD31 today and she's still not here grrrr. I knew I would be late as soon as I was due to start treatment.

What's your story hun? x

Hey thanks for your reply ;)))

Fab news for starting your treatment soon .

My story is 5.5 years Ttc
Pcos diagnosis lap / dye clear
Lots of hoop jumping with nhs protocol
Postcode lottery of funding
Local authority bmi is based on both partners need to be under 29.9
I lost 4 St i got mine down to bmi 30 from 40
Hubby unable to reach the bmi needed
Shut door from nhs til reach the weight needed
Different test results from hubby sperm
Saved for 18mths now going private ... Our baby making process didn't begin til Icsi this year ,
Hubby had an advanced sperm test it gave us results we've never had ... Morphology 1%
Sperm quality better than average.
Consultant told us it's highly likely we would never conceive without Icsi treatment, it could happen over a lifetime of trying with lottery chance.
With my pcos with timing would never be timed.

Our first treatment failed sadly , still feeling broken as our hopes and dreams pinned on it. We used embryo glue, it could just be nature and luck ... Unfortunately science isn't able to answer implantation issues. I had to embryos transferred back .. Just luck not on our side :((

Decided to move straight onto second cycle as been in limbo land for ever.

Hole luck is on our side for cycle 2
It's very scary as we think we can only financially afford 3 cycles self funding.

How about you ?? X x x

Gosh you've been through a lot to get to where you are now! I am sending you all the luck in the world for this 2nd cycle and I hope it does the trick for you!

We are also self funding here is our story....

1 daughter who is 5 already, she was conceived very quickly and naturally
Jump forward 3 years and we decided to try for baby 2
After 12 months of BFNs we went for routine testing
Everything was fine on my side, I ovulate normally and my periods are regular. HSG clear and bloods all normal
Hubby's SA came back as low motility and counts :(
He was put on Tamoxifen to try and raise his counts for 3 months
After the 3 months we went back and his counts had risen but not drastically
I was prescribed clomid for 5 cycles in the hope it'd produce more eggs therefore a better chance of catching one... it didn't work :(
We were then given the news that our only chance would be ICSI though because we already have a child it'd have to be done privately.

And here we are today! 2 years on and we are just about ready to get going on our first cycle.

My period arrived yesterday and I'm all booked in for my baseline scan tomorrow morning, fingers crossed that it all goes okay and I can start stimming tomorrow night!

xx

How did your scan go ? Good news on your period arriving xx
Sorry to hear you are now having to self fund :(

They have lots of ways to get out of paying for treatment.
Sorry to hear you've had a rough journey Ttc.
Thank u for your kind words ...

Got first scan fri to see how they are growing
