Hi all,

I have just found out that I'm finally expecting baby #2 and I'm very excited!!

I was diagnosed with ITP in December 2012 and have lived with platelet counts between 20-50k ever since. I've had several treatments including IVIG, prednisolone and mycophenylate (sp?). I'm currently not on treatment and my count is around 35k.

I know that ITP can rear it's head in pregnancy for some & then go away. For me it's chronic.

I'm going to be classed as a high risk pregnancy but right now I'm feeling positive. I have two great haemotologists, I've done loads of research into ITP and pregnancy and I think I'm prepared for the challenges ahead.

If anyone has any questions I'm happy to help out where I can. It would be nice to chat to any other ladies with ITP if there are any lurking??

:)
