At 25 weeks i had an ultrasound and they said the baby is currently breech (which i could tell because when she kicks it feels like her foot is going to come out my crotch!) they also said her head is measuring small in the 6th percentile. I go back for a follow up ultrasound on thursday but I am just wondering...how long will they let the baby be breech until they tell me i have to have an ultrasound? they said she had plenty of time to turn around at 25weeks but i dont know when that time frame runs out

She's still got PLENTY of time... I think they only start worrying about a breech baby at about 35 weeks or so? And even then, there is still a possibility of him/her turning.

Don't even think about it until later :)

Agreed with PP - in my case LO was breech at all scans, then finally at about 33 weeks she turned. And at no point was anyone worried (other than me at times!). If you should end up needing it, I've heard that www.spinningbabies.com is good for exercises for encouraging baby to turn. But definitely don't lose sleep about it yet. :flower:

Even with twins my OB said we have until 32 weeks for my little girl to go head down before we start talking c-section. I am pretty sure she is content staying just the way she is so I won't be too disappointed if i have to have a c-section because I kind of prepared myself for that idea since with twins its a higher possibility but we are keeping our fingers crossed she turns.

You still have plenty of time for your baby to turn around. Unlike me, I'm almost 36 weeks along & just found out that my baby is in a breech position :( My belly is pretty tight already & I doubt that my baby have much room to turn around by now, lol. I'd worry after 35 weeks. Just hang on here

I had a scan yesterday to she if baby was breech, sometimes they let you go to 37 weeks though as baby still has time to turn. Luckily baby was head down.

Also, lots of babies are still breech at 28 weeks so you have loads of time, try not to worry

In the UK they do a presentation scan at 36-37 weeks and if they are still breach they either try a ECV if you are a suitable candidate or book a c-section for 39 weeks. Although if you get booked in for a c-section they will still check to make sure they have not turned in those 2-3 weeks between the scan.

Clearly things may be different in America but you have a good 10-12 weeks before you need to worry about it yet.

My son was breach and I had a scan at 36 weeks but due to other issues making the pregnancy high-risk I had to have a planned c-section. My second son is also constantly breach (with exception of 3 hours last week) and I am having a scan at 36 weeks again to see his positioning and size to see if I can have a VBAC. However I am seriously starting to think, possibly irrationally so of me, that my uterus may be ever so slightly heart shaped making only breach positioning possible. Particularly since DS1 tried to turn at roughly 38 weeks and couldn't manage it and the two times I have felt DS2 in any other position it is more uncomfortable that it should be.

im 31 weeks and baby is still breech i see my midwife again on the 6th March but she told me that we dont need to worry about it until atleast 36 weeks, so you have plenty of time for baby to turn.

25 weeks is way too early to worry! they do not start worrying about this until 35 weeks and even then will wait until 37 because most breech babies turn between 35 to 37 weeks.

This is not something you should worry about honestly.

Google how to turn breech baby, I wouldnt worry tho, I just got a scan at 29 and my boy is still breech. They said he has plenty of time to move about

REALLY dont worry about it yet. My LO turned at 38 weeks. At 25 weeks, theyre so small still, they can spin around all over the place.

Dont worry at 25 weeks, you have got loadssss of time left yet! My baby was breech till about 32 weeks or so. They will only attempt to turn baby after 36 weeks anyway.

I had a scan yesterday at 35+4 to see if baby was breech. Baby was head down but if they had not have been then they would of done more measurements and then discussed birthing options. You still have time for baby to move but obv. the closer to the end the less space to move. You still have loads of time for your baby to turn, with my first pregnancy my LO was breech at 28 weeks and had turned by 34 weeks. There are procudures to turn them but I wouldn't worry too much until your a bit further along :flower:
