I know I don't have much to feel low about, but I just do. :nope:

I had my 34wk growth scan yesterday and everything was fine, definately confirmed as a little boy (massive set of balls!) and currently weighing 5 lbs 7oz, head down.
I've had one previous vaginal delivery, but with the need for forceps, an episiotomy and a blood transfusion. I've also had an emergency c-section with my second. I went over with both, had to be induced and both came at 42wk+2.

So yesterday the doc said that as baby was average-ish (I'm measuring at 36wks) I could go for either type of delivery.
I so don't want to go over my due date this time or have to be induced, so I've opted for a C-Section which will be carried out in my 39th week. It's good to know that I will end up with a date before/on my due date, but I know that I've got a lot of recovery pain to come.

I just wish that I could go into labour earlier than this c-section date all by myself, no inducing, no operations, no tearing, no stiches! I would just love the feeling and excitement of labour starting on it's own and seeing if I could do it all without intervention! I asked the midwife at the hospital and she said it was very unlikely this would happen for me. Just makes me feel a bit low. Isn't there anything I can try and do to bring on labour a bit nearer the time? Would anything work for my stubborn hormones?!

I'm sorry i dont have any advice, i'm trying to evict my little one atm (well so to speak..) i just wanted to give you :hugs:

I'm not sure if they work but Rasberry Leaf tea is meant to help and also bathing in Clary Sage is meant to bring on labour (not sure how true this is).

But to be honest I think the baby will only come out when it's ready - at least you have a date and you definately know this time round you won't be so over due.

Even if you did go into labour naturally before, you can't guarantee you won't have a tear or need intervention - things can just happen in labour which you can't control. At least your C-Section is planned - do you have long to wait now?

Loz and Lily 2 yrs and bump 29 weeks

I would LOVE it if i could be told i'd be having my baby at 39 weeks, but its looking like i'm going to be waiting until october :haha:
