If I had known what team I was on when I was there in Oct I would of spent an absolute fortune!

Yeah but you ladies get better maternity benefits and that grant thats posted about on here so often(I think its for the UK?). Also the US has terrible csec rates and an OB based maternity care which is not as good as midwife care IMO.

Cuter baby stuff is hardly a trade off :nope:

I've seen a lot of stuff for the UK that I wish I could have...but I do agree, we have a lot of cute stuff here.

Hmm, maybe I should run a business where people order it and I ship it to them..lol. If only..it would make the world so much better for buyers if we could order from diffferent countries when it comes to online stores at least..

I would have loved to take all that maternity leave you have in the UK. The grants. I also would have loved those conception digital pregnancy tests that we can not get here. I would see if you have a friend that you would trust to maybe buy and ship to you?

Some of the stuff here, it doesn't really compare in quality to what we get in the UK. I bought quite a few bits from Carters and Macy's and when washed, the stuff I have from the UK (Mothercare, Next etc) came out a lot better.

There is more choice here but not necessarily "better".

Don't get me started with food (too OT) - can't wait to come home!

We were in Vegas in September and if we'd been further along and known what team we were on we could have bought loads! If I'd been in New York I could have bought even more!

I agree with all of you!! Being in Germany it has been such a hassle trying to find what I "want". And we're military and even have the PX/BX!!! But they just have a little of this and a little of that. We have been lucky enough to have most places ship to us (we have an APO) but not the crib or the travel system. We got our "american" crib from the PX but paid wellllll over for it compared to the price in the states. But I would LOVE to have the MW care that the UK ladies get!!!! I think it's like curly hair and straight hair, when you're born with one.....you just want the other!!!

I used to get loads of Osh Kosh stuff when I was a baby as some of my family live in US. I think I might be reviving that tradition!

You wouldn't say that if you lived here.

The grass is always greener. I've personally been on both sides of the grass and I honestly can't pick a side. Am super excited to go back home this summer though! I miss Taco Bell!! But then I'll be home and I'll miss my £3.69 Carvery! Ugh the dilemmas!
