I'm in labour!

Can't believe Im saying this and I'm still a bit in denial but I am in labour! Contractions coming every 3 mins or so and lasting 30-40 mins but the pain isn't severe so hospital have told me to stay home until pain is severe!Thing is I don't know what 'severe' is - I guess I'll know when it's here?
When i go to the loo and wipe it's pink everytime - hospital says this is ok - is it?
I'm half excited and half utterly terrified!!!

Must be a good day to have a baby! Severe is when you cannot walk or talk through them!

Good luck, and they told me the same thing - by the time it was severe it was the time I needed to push - so arrived at the hospital fully dilated and took only 40mins - so be careful
