Is anyone else going be having one of these? I know it is the norm in the US. I have brought my friend a bag full of toiletries for baby such as shampoo, body wash, cotton wool, vasline, creams, wipes, dummies etc etc. I thought to myself when i put it all in the bag that it was really good and would love someone do this for me  I didnt think i would have a baby shower but now i am thinking maybe i should.

Is anyone going be having one of these?

I had never thought of it before, but I have been asked by a few of my friends whether I will have one and have researched some games that you can do and now think that I would like to have one x

I don't know anyone that has had one here in England but would quite like one myself :) Might have to organise one with a friend x

In Canada they are very common, but only for the first child. I will be having 2 as my mom will throw me one, and my husbands mom will throw me one. So we registered at Babies R' Us, and we will get things for the baby. I didn't realize in other countries they weren't common. What about Bridal/Wedding showers, are they?

I'm the first in my family. Holding it on my birthday :p My aunts are flying over espiecally, Im very excited :-D

I'm in the US and here it would be more strange to not have one that to have one.

I'm having three (!)... one from my mom that will be for family, one from my friends that will be for my friends and co-workers, and a co-ed one that OHs friends are throwing that will be for his friends and it will be a "diaper party." They're bringing diapers as gifts and it will be more of a "party" than an actual baby shower I think

I wasn't going to have one. I've never heard of a bridal shower before

They're quite common over here in South African too except it's a surprise. Well my SIL asked me for a list of all the friends and family with contact no's now already cos she hopes I will forget about it and get surprised, lol. We have bridal showers and bachelor parties over here too (anything for a party I tell you, lol)

No never heard of anyone having a bridal shower. Heard a few people to have a baby shower it just isnt that popular at all in the uk.

We had a lovely afternoon and she did some games such as - baby word scramble game - guess the baby (we all had to send her a baby pic) everyone kept saying ah baby number 10 is so cut AND THAT WAS ME!! lol - she did guess the size of her bump in inches - and 'whats that smell' which was a nappy filled with stuff like mustard, glazy chocolate etc etc and we had to guess what it was by looking and smelling it.

Baby has been spoilit with lots of lovely presents and think she is set up for 12 months with toiletries for baby!

Im having one..we have them in australia..but the bridal showers ect..are just something we dont do..its a bit much!!I have had a few people have engagement parties and I feel like its only for people to give presents.

Over in Europe showers arent really done, more's the pity..My cousin from the astates had a baby shower and it was so lovely:D

I'm having a baby shower and all my friends who have had babies had them too, its really fun can't wait.
