i had 2 sweeps with my 1st pregnancy and had no cramps, pain or blood after any of them.. i kinda guessed they didnt work as i went into labour nearly a week over.
for me a sweep is no good unless it causes some pain and discharge lol ive had several "gentle" sweeps in past pregnancies and none of them worked.
dont stress about being "overdue" babies dont know when 40wks has passed they only know when they are ready and thats when they arrive. im fully prepared to go overdue with this baby as my last ones were
How far over are you now hun? My cousin had a sweep and lost her plug the day after but there was no blood... Ive never had a sweep but I have gone into labour and never lost any blood either time, even when my waters went x
I'm 2 days over due, but everyone seems to be having some kind of signs and I aint having nothing what so ever except for braxton hicks I just do not want to be induced
Sorry your still not feeling anything!!!!!!! I feel for you! Im so ready to have this baby out! Well, you have almost 2 weeks before you have to be induced right? Im sure your baby will be here before then!
I totally sympathise too... I honestly would wish going overdue on my worst enemy, its soul destroying... they should definitely do it how they do in france... you are due somewhere between say 21st september and 18th october, if baby isnt there by then you get induced, simples!!
Have you tried absolutely everything as well? I did with Mia, I went 9 days over
I mean do you have to have a sign when labour starts? Like blood, pain, etc or can waters break or contractions happen just like with the click of your fingers
I had a sweep at 41 weeks with my 1st but didnt have any blood after it....midwife said to have that night to get things going and we did and i was in labour the next morning but i didnt have a show until that afternoon so it doesnt always mean anything i dont think so try to relax and be positive!! try to be active and have as much as you can lol! Hope things get going for you!!
with my 1st i lost my plug at 24weeks but no other signs , no bhicks nothing until contractions started..
ive so far had nothing with this no show,no bhicks,no cramps, no loose bowel movements nothing except mild lower back ache
Labour can be totally spontaneous hun dont you worry about that, my mate had no signs or symptoms at all, she went 7 days over and her waters broke in the night, she thought she'd wet the bed
My sister last time round (in december) had no signs or symptoms, no plug loss, no blood and 6 days before her due date she just started getting contractions and baby came next day!
Its possible!
I tried everything last time round as I really wanted a natural birth (I didnt get it anyways lol) I did bloody star jumps for gods sake, nothing worked, Id totaly given up and decided to not try anything else and alas... I got a false start then following day a real one xx
I have heard all the time of people just going into labor without any signs except contractions starting! I wouldnt be too worried about looking for signs. If there are going to be some, it will be when you least expect it. If I were you, I would take a warm bath and relax. And when you get done with that I would read a book to clear your mind a little or put in a good movie! Keep bouncing on that ball, walk and sex!!!
Sweety you can and cannot lose your plug before labour. Some woman experience it and some don't. I had two sweeps and nothing two weeks overdue i lost my plug without blood in it and ended in c section a week later.
Lost my plug about 4 weeks ago during sex it was thick jelly clear plug but no blood and just braxton hick after braxton hick sometimes with shooting pains up the vag, but that's it midwife said she felt babys head and I was 1cm dilated so I though wow something will happen but na lmao
Its definitely a good sign that you are 1cm and baby is that low especially with your first, they sometimes can barely reach your cervix at that stage with first babies. You never know, its a good excuse to have sex plenty tho lol x
